You Are What You Consume!

Serious Question!!!

What happens if you put gas that's meant for an 18 wheeler into a smaller faster car?

Is it gonna work?


Now, if you asked most athletes (maybe with the exception of Offensive Linemen) which one they would prefer being, they would most likely say the Ferrari or the Bugatti instead of a Big Rig.


However, the fact is, that you have got to treat your body as if it is a Ferrari!


You cannot put things into your body that will slow you down and expect to be quick out of the field or the court!

Nutrition is essential!

When I was In college a good friend and teammate, named Kris explain something to me that I will never forget. He picked up a big plate of food and recognized how heavy it was. He then put it down and picked up a plate with a salad on it and examined how light it was. I did the same and was surprised with what I had discovered. He explained that if you put the food from the heavier plate into your body, your body will feel heavier. However, if you put the food from the lighter plate into your body, your body will feel lighter!


Obviously, the lighter your body is, the more you can move around.

(That's part of the reason why water is essential, it has zero calories... duhhhh)


This also comes with understanding certain foods and what they are made of. Some food may seem "healthy" but may be made of contents that are HORRIBLE for the body!


From a social perspective, your tribe determines your vibe. You will consume the knowledge, mannerisms, energies, and language of the people that you are around! Pay very close attention to who you are around! I would argue that the ways in which we start acting like people are survival instincts because deep down we don't want to feel left out. So we start adapting to our environments and picking up accents, mannerisms, and thought processes, based on what our environment demands. So watch who you're around! You will literally become them!


From an educational aspect, You have got to put things into your mind that will enhance your thinking! Knowledge has a VERY simplistic cause and effect relationship to life. Meaning that literally whatever you put in, you get out. If you put garbage in your mind, you will think like garbage! You cannot spend a bunch of time pointlessly scrolling through Instagram or looking at Youtube videos that have nothing to do with you as an athlete as expect to perform at your best on gameday! It's not going to happen, YOU'LL BE TOO DISTRACTED!!!! The mind can only truly focus on thing at a time, but you dictate what you want your mind to ficus on.

The mind is just like a physical muscle, the more you train it, the stronger it gets!


You will become what you consume!
